Hints for Navigating LurkHere and Other Notes

The site should be pretty easy to figure out. There are some hyperlinks on the home page to take you directly to our articles and to a few other websites. The right-hand column is our in-house stuff that we recognize as LurkerInfo. Eventually, LurkerInfo will also be home to our forums.

We have gone to some length to make this site perform well at the popular resolutions. The idea is that you will always have a convenient navigation bar at your disposal.

The OutLurk button in the left-hand column will take you to a list of links that we think are a benefit.

So, on return trips you can hit either of the two buttons on the home page to start your surfing, either within this site or to our neighbors. Passing through the home page portal will assure that you receive the correct images for your display resolution.

We are very new at this. One of the problems that we run into is trying to utilize the new methods available, while still supporting the less recent browser software and machine hardware. If you experience any loading problems let us know. There are some known color issues with certain Internet Providers, and that issue may show up on a certain earlier issued browser. It is a Catch 22. We have the ability in house to make the pages and graphics load even faster, and to use higher quality images, but certain browsers may not support it. We will do all we can to make everyone's Surfin' and Lurkin' as smooth as possible.

We are also in the process of developing some solutions. If you have some experience, primarily with open source database programming, you may want to drop a note.

Our philosophy is straightforward. We feel that by utilizing each individual's strengths, the whole is greater than the sum of its' parts.

For example, Henry's translations to French will allow the thoughts discussed here to reach a wider audience. To our way of thinking, that is a good use of disk space.
